What to actually do for the May bank holiday

If you've decided to stay in London for this Early May Bank Holiday, but are stuck for ideas - hurrah - we've got a few suggestions to share with you:

1. Have lunch at the amazing Brawn on Columbia Road to experience some tasty treats and enjoy their impressive wine list. Lunch is served between 12-3 on Saturday and 12-4 on Sunday. If dining on a Sunday, be sure to enjoy the delightful fleurs of the Flower Market beforehand.

2. Take in some art at the architecturally divine White Cube in Bermondsey. Currently on view, Andreas Gursky's new collection of photographs.

3. Feeling spendy? Visit our friends at GoodHood in Hoxton for a genius curation of clothing, homewares and life goods. We love this place and we think you will to.

4. It wouldn't be a Bank Holiday without a trip to the local watering hole. One of our favourites is the Spurstowe Arms in Hackney. They have a great beer garden and an even greater Bloody Mary. Does it get any better than that? We don't think so.

5. Enjoy our favourite R&B singer Kelela at the new hip Elsewhere Festival that is hosted in Hackney this weekend. The festival is hosted in different venues like Oslo, The Laundry and London Fields Brewery on Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd meaning there’s always Sunday AND Monday to nurse that bitter-sweet first hangover of the festival season.

Other things to do this Easter than hunting for eggs

1. The exhibition of Liu Bolin at Scream.

Our fascination of Liu Bolins “camouflage” work is never ending. Experience her work that is intriguing and playful yet takes on an unequivocal political stance. Liu Bolin at Scream >>

2. The Village Green Sunday Market in Hackney Downs.

It’s back! The Village Green Sunday Market brings people together and showcase local talent in the heart of Hackneys creative hub, featuring makers, creators, food stall traders and cocktail shakers. A perfect recipe for a fab Easter Sunday. The Village Green Sunday Market in Hackney Downs >>

3. Jean Paul Gaultier, From sidewalk to catwalk, at Barbican.

We're so thrilled to see Jean Paul Gaultier's graphic design work for the first time. Dating from the early 80's the couturier's unique designs for invitations to haute couture and prêt-à-porter, as well as his iconic advertising campaigns. Jean Paul Gaultier at Barbican >>

4. Secret-7”

We la la love this concept! Basically, seven tracks from seven well-known bands and artists are pressed into 700 7" singles, then creatives from around the world illustrate the cover artwork for one of the seven tracks, resulting in a very limited-edition piece of art that you can own, for the very reasonable sum of £45. 5. TINAWEASTER by TINAWEEN

If there is one egg hunt to attend, this is the one! Our friends Tinaz are hosting the most amazing Easter egg hunt round the poles of Metropolis strip club and you simply cannot miss out on this party! TINAWEASTER by TINAWEN >>
