The brainchild of Australian creative Ashe Peacock, ANTIPODIUM was born in 2006 as a capsule collection to compliment Peacock’s progressive buy at the namesake Soho store.
Fast-forward seven years, the label is a key player in the East London renaissance. Producing four collections a year from their Hoxton studio, presenting on-schedule at London Fashion Week since 2010, and making a notable brand statement with club nights and an emphasis on social media. Most recently Daniel Mcilwraith has been appointed Head of Design.
The subcultural London sensibility is key to the label’s diversity, which translates into the versatility of the clothes. Intelligent but lacking in pretension, ANTIPODIUM is competitively priced.
With personal style at the forefront, the label’s growing ready-to-wear collection includes a mega mix of statement cocktail dresses, trophy jackets, knits, and of course the effortless jersey separates. With a special interest in provenance, ANTIPODIUM launched a collaboration with Aboriginal artists from remote Western Australia to great success. Artist Russell Maurice is the latest talent to join the ANTIPODIUM coterie.
